Acadia offers a rare combination of accessibility and adventure. You can exchange vows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, hike to a quiet overlook, or choose an easy-to-access ceremony spot that still feels incredibly special.

Below are some of the best ceremony locations in Acadia National Park, each offering a different vibe and experience and are some of my personal favorites in the park.
Otter Cliff is one of the most dramatic ceremony locations in Acadia, featuring towering granite cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It’s especially beautiful at sunrise or early evening when the light is softer and crowds are minimal. It does require a little hiking with about two rock scrambles to get there (but it’s totally worth it).
Best for:
Jordan Pond offers a peaceful, romantic setting with calm water and gentle mountain views. It’s a great option for couples who want a quieter, more serene atmosphere without hiking. Sunrise is the perfect time as it offers the least amount of people at this stunning park hot-spot.
Best for:
Cadillac Mountain is famous for its sunrise views and expansive overlooks. It’s an unforgettable location, though it requires careful planning due to vehicle reservations and popularity. The rules around sunrise ceremonies can be a little sticky due to park rules. To navigate this, I recommend portraits as the sun comes up and the ceremony right after sunrise.

Schoodic Peninsula offers rugged coastal scenery with far fewer crowds than Mount Desert Island. It’s ideal for couples who want dramatic views and a quieter experience. It’s a great park of the park that is lesser known but still gives that classic, rugged coastal feel.
Best for:
Ocean Path offers several designated ceremony areas with sweeping ocean views and easy access. These spots work well for couples who want flexibility and beautiful scenery without hiking. This is THE spot for Acadia’s iconic pink granite coastline, which is so unique and stunning.
